Pins, Needles and Numbness
|
| Pins and needles is usually an indicator of a trapped nerve. The latest research would indicate that the nerve does not become trapped, but is placed under muscular intrinsic pressure that causes the muscle or the limb to tingle or go numb. The analogy is if a water pipe is full of water and pressure and placed upon the water pipe, it will cease to function, only allowing a trickle of water to go through. This pressure must be released. We at City Clinic Group have a variety of methods to release the pressure placed upon the nerve, including manipulation, intramuscular stimulation, acupuncture with electrotherapy and normal electrotherapy. Types of numbness and pins and needles treated are sciatica, pins and needles in the hands, wrists and elbows, pain which surrounds the ribs that is called rib
neuralgia
and also facial neuralgia. |
