RSI REPETITIVE STRAIN INJURY
 

Repetitive Strain Injury or Repetitive Stress Injury can occur in the work place and when performing sport.

Repetitive injuries are injuries that happen when too much stress is placed on a joint of muscular tissue causing inflammation pain swelling and stiffness.

This stress is usually caused from repeating the same movement over and over again. Within the work place, RSI, repetitive strain injuries are common with people who spend a lot of time using a computer keyboard.

Some types of sport can cause RSI and sometimes playing a musical instrument can cause it too.

Nutrition can play a factor in RSI. Good nutrition is needed to strengthen muscles and joints.


Signs and symptoms of RSI.
Tingling, numbness or pain in the area.
Increased pain in the night in the effected area.
Stiffness in the neck or back.
Feeling of weakness or fatigue in the hands wrist or arms
Popping clicking sensation in the muscles or joints.

Repetitive strain injuries are treated with low level cold laser, ultra sound, electro medical equipment, and massage.
